Arthroscopy is a surgical procedure allowing the inside of a joint to be viewed with a mini-camera, by making one or small centimetric incisions. This act is used to diagnose and treat certain joint injuries.

Arthroscopic Techniques are part of the RAAC program: Rapid Recovery After Surgery. They most often allow outpatient care.  (I don't sleep in the Hospital)

Arthroscopy allows many joint surgeries

Certain surgical procedures,

such as arthroplasties ( joint prostheses ),

require a surgical approach (say open-air surgeries)
